Before deciding on ultrasound liposuction, you will have a consultation with a plastic surgeon. The doctor will assess your expectations, health status, and the suitability of the method. Together, you will determine the scope of the procedure and the type of anesthesia—local or general.

Gentle Fat Removal with Ultrasound

First, a tumescent solution is applied to the treated area to numb the tissue and prepare the fat cells for breakdown. Then, the surgeon inserts a probe that generates ultrasound waves to selectively disrupt the fat. The broken-down fat is gently suctioned out with a cannula, allowing for detailed contouring of the body with minimal risk of unevenness or scarring.

Recovery with Rapid Healing

After the procedure, you will wear compression garments that help reduce swelling and support healing. Mild bruising and swelling usually subside within 1–2 weeks. Most patients return to normal activities within a few days, with final results settling over several weeks to months.
