Labiaplasty

Every woman deserves to feel comfortable and confident. Enlarged or asymmetrical labia can affect not only body confidence, but also cause discomfort during movement, sports, or hygiene. In such cases, labiaplasty may be a suitable solution — reshaping and resizing the labia regardless of whether the condition is congenital or has changed due to childbirth or loss of elasticity.

    Before and After the Procedure

    How does labiaplasty work?

    Consultation and Preparation

Before the procedure, you’ll have a consultation with the doctor, who will assess your health, explain the available options, and help you choose a suitable date. Together, you’ll decide on the most appropriate approach to ensure you’re fully satisfied with the results. Preoperative examinations are also part of the preparation.

    Procedure Overview

Labiaplasty is most often performed under general anesthesia and typically takes around 45 minutes. The surgeon removes excess tissue and reshapes the labia. The incision is usually made along the longitudinal line or in the form of a wedge. The wound is then closed with dissolvable stitches and covered with a sterile dressing.

    Postoperative Care

Recovery requires a calm, low-activity period. In the first few days, it’s especially important to maintain proper hygiene and avoid physical exertion. A follow-up check takes place after two weeks. Full physical activity, including sports and intimate contact, is usually possible after about six weeks.
