Brow lift

While performing a brow lift, the operator lifts and shapes the patient’s eyebrows, as well as smoothing any wrinkles around the bridge of the nose and on the forehead to achieve a rejuvenated appearance. The intervention can be combined with a blepharoplasty. Before the operation, you need to consult the physician on the desired eyebrow shape and the extent of the lift. Brow lift can be done in several ways which differ in scope and scar placement. The easiest method is to remove the skin above the eyebrow and lift the forehead and eyebrows. The incision is made directly above the eyebrow; the scar is hidden in the upper line of hairs. Another method is to make the incision in the patient’s hairline (coronary brow lift with a long incision along the hairline). The last option is to lift the lateral half of the eyebrow from the temple—a so-called temporal brow lift. A 4.5cm incision is made in the hairline, around the temples. Resting and wearing an elastic bandage is recommended.
