Procedure Overview

Labiaplasty is most often performed under general anesthesia and typically takes around 45 minutes. The surgeon removes excess tissue and reshapes the labia. The incision is usually made along the longitudinal line or in the form of a wedge. The wound is then closed with dissolvable stitches and covered with a sterile dressing.

Postoperative Care

Recovery requires a calm, low-activity period. In the first few days, it’s especially important to maintain proper hygiene and avoid physical exertion. A follow-up check takes place after two weeks. Full physical activity, including sports and intimate contact, is usually possible after about six weeks.
