Before deciding on a lip lift, you will have a non-binding consultation with a plastic surgeon. The doctor will assess your skin condition and the distance between your nose and upper lip, explain the procedure, and discuss your expectations. If you choose to proceed, you will schedule the surgery date and complete any necessary pre-operative examinations.
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia and takes approximately 45 minutes. The surgeon makes a fine incision just below the nose in the natural crease, removes a small amount of skin, and gently lifts the upper lip. This results in a fuller and more attractive appearance without compromising natural look.
After the procedure, a sterile dressing is applied, and you can go home the same day. Sutures are removed after about one week, by which time swelling and bruising have usually subsided. After suture removal, makeup can be used. The scar is hidden in the crease beneath the nostrils and is typically almost invisible.

A standard consultation takes approximately 30–60 minutes. During the consultation, the doctor will assess your situation, explain possible treatment options, and answer all your questions.
Compression garments should be worn continuously for 6–8 weeks, including during sleep. They help reduce swelling, support the tissues, and promote scar healing. After consulting with your doctor, wearing time can be gradually reduced.
