At the beginning of the preoperative examination, a consultation is conducted focusing on your current health status, past illnesses, medications, and previous surgical experiences. The goal is to identify any factors that could affect the course of the surgery or healing process.
This is followed by a physical examination by the physician and any necessary tests, usually including blood work and an ECG. In indicated cases, additional ultrasound examinations may be performed (e.g., of the breasts, neck, abdomen, or soft tissues). Assessment of anesthesia suitability is also included.
Results are available without unnecessary delay and are immediately added to your medical records. The physician reviews the findings, confirms your fitness for the procedure, and, if necessary, recommends additional steps or adjustments to preoperative preparation.

A standard consultation takes approximately 30–60 minutes. During the consultation, the doctor will assess your situation, explain possible treatment options, and answer all your questions.
Compression garments should be worn continuously for 6–8 weeks, including during sleep. They help reduce swelling, support the tissues, and promote scar healing. After consulting with your doctor, wearing time can be gradually reduced.
