Mini abdominoplasty

Have you noticed sagging or excess skin in the lower abdomen that doesn’t respond to exercise or diet? Mini abdominoplasty is a gentle procedure focused on the area below the belly button that helps remove excess skin and promotes a flatter, naturally contoured abdomen. If needed, it can be combined with the tightening of separated abdominal muscles or supplemented with liposuction for an even more noticeable result.

    Before and After the Procedure

    How does mini abdominoplasty work?

    Consultation and planning

During the initial consultation, the doctor will assess skin quality as well as the condition of the abdominal wall, including any diastasis and source of excess fat. Together, you will plan the extent of the procedure, the possibility of combining it with liposuction, and the placement of the incision. Preoperative examinations and clear preparation instructions are included.

    Procedure

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. A low incision is made in the lower abdomen to remove excess skin and adjust the underlying tissue; the navel is usually not repositioned. If necessary, the surgeon will tighten separated muscles. The incision is placed so that the scar remains hidden under clothing and gradually softens over time.

    Post-procedure and first days

Immediately after surgery, an elastic bandage is applied. A resting regimen and light walking are recommended. The doctor will instruct you on wound care, positioning, and gradual return to activities. Most patients resume normal activities within two weeks; the shape continues to stabilize over the following weeks.
