Yes, the MIA Femtech procedure itself takes approximately just 15 minutes, thanks to the gentle, minimally invasive, and highly innovative technique. However, you will spend about 90 minutes at the clinic, including preparation and rest time after the procedure.

The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia or sometimes with analgesosedation, similar to what’s done during childbirth. This ensures a comfortable, pain-free experience while minimizing the risks associated with general anesthesia.

With the MIA® method, the surgeon doesn’t use a scalpel. Instead, they use high-tech equipment to gently create a channel and insert the implant without disturbing the breast tissue. As a result, the procedure is truly minimally invasive, less painful, and involves a faster recovery. Breast sensitivity remains intact.

In the MIA® Experience, the implant is placed behind the mammary gland, so the structures important for breastfeeding are not affected. There are no direct risks associated with breastfeeding after the MIA® Experience.
