Labiaplasty

The best time for the procedure is usually shortly after your menstrual period ends, when the mucous membrane is less vascularized. The surgery can only be performed if you are healthy, not suffering from any acute illness, and not pregnant.
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, so it is completely painless. After the anesthesia wears off, you may experience mild discomfort, which can typically be managed with recommended painkillers.
The doctor uses a delicate technique and dissolvable stitches that do not need to be removed. The scar is usually very inconspicuous and, once healed, generally blends with the surrounding tissue, making it invisible to the naked eye.
After labioplasty, a period of rest is necessary for several weeks. You can generally resume normal physical activities, including sports and intimate relations, about six weeks after the procedure — always following your doctor’s recommendations.
Many women report increased self-confidence and a better experience during intimate moments after the procedure. Once fully healed, labioplasty can also contribute to greater comfort during sexual activities.
