Is it better to operate on the upper, lower, or both eyelids at the same time?
It depends on the extent of the findings and expectations. A combination often provides a more comprehensive rejuvenation, and the approach is chosen individually.
What is transconjunctival blepharoplasty?
Adjustment of fat pads through an incision on the inner side of the eyelid without an external scar; suitable when skin removal is not necessary.
Will scars be visible after the procedure?
For upper eyelids, the scar is placed in the natural skin fold; for lower eyelids, just below the lashes. With the transconjunctival method, the incision is inside the eyelid, so it is not visible. Scars usually fade over time.
What type of anesthesia is appropriate?
Smaller procedures are generally done under local anesthesia (LA), while more extensive combinations or sensitive patients may opt for general anesthesia (GA).
Can fat transfer under the eyes be added?
Yes, in suitable candidates it gently smooths hollows and supports a natural-looking result.
