Breast reduction

Breast reduction (reduction mammaplasty) is suitable for women who struggle with overly large and heavy breasts — whether due to physical discomfort (e.g. back or neck pain, skin irritation, limited movement during sports) or emotional and aesthetic concerns. If you are healthy enough for general anesthesia and large breasts significantly affect your daily life, the procedure may be the right solution for you.
The goal of the procedure is not only to reduce volume but to create a harmonious shape that suits your body, preferences, and proportions. The amount of tissue removed is planned individually — it can range from a few hundred grams to over a kilogram. The result should relieve physical discomfort while maintaining a natural look and breast function.
In most cases, nipple sensitivity and the ability to breastfeed can be preserved, but this cannot be guaranteed. It depends on your anatomy and the surgical technique used. Sensitivity may be temporarily reduced after the procedure, but it typically returns over time. If you plan to become pregnant and breastfeed, be sure to inform your doctor during the consultation.
We recommend at least one week of rest following the procedure. Most clients return to non-strenuous work after about two weeks. Physical activity and sports should be avoided for approximately two months. A special non-wired post-surgical bra should be worn for at least 6 weeks. During this time, scars gradually fade and, with proper care, become less noticeable.
